A counterclockwise journey around the cathedral, while a pianist was making notations and playing. Nobody clapped. It was in tourist mode, instead of service. Some did not remove their hats.
Lost in the Rain
After St Giles,’ I headed back down the Royal Mile, it started to rain pretty good, and my feet were tired from all the walking, so I ordered a cab. Because of the way various streets are blocked off in the old city centre, I became lost in the rain trying to find my cab, who couldn’t get to me, and I ended up on the ‘back side’ at the base of Castle Hill. They sent a replacement cab who delivered me to The Conan Doyle.
